"hey next okie and I am going to show you today a stretch that will really help if you're having any kind of sciatic nerve pain hang that back your leg and that line of pain going down your hip and into your hamstring this is a really simple stretch so I'm just going to demonstrate it and anyone can pretty much do this okay so the first thing that you're going to do is find a comfortable place to lie down anything is padded if you have a yoga mat that works great you can just carpet is fine just as long as you're comfortable you don't want to be on the super soft surface like a bed it needs to be pretty firm he's just working check your that lie down on your back links though and you'll have your spine should be neutral and what

that means is you don't want to press it down onto the floor and here laughs you've seen that that's not so great and you know what a big arch up in your back it should be just comfortably should have a mild arch but it should be close to the floor but not pressed on before okay now making one leg up you're going to cross that foot over your opposite knee I'm going

to bring that knee in you can wrap your arms around me or to your thigh I prefer here this is maybe a little more gentle so if you're not very flexible this is really sore you might try this first a little bit more stretch you can go to here and you will feel this down the back of this leg in the outside of this leg and this is a fabulous stretch but what

are called the lateral rotators muscles those muscles are responsible for a lot of movement in your leg and in most people they are very raced meaning they're not very flexible and they're very rigid so this is a fabulous stretch even if you don't have sciatic pain do this every day and you won't get you just hold here keeping your spine neutral you don't want to come up off the floor or the mat

and want to press your spine now you don't want to be curled up into a ball usually keep it nice and neutral your head stays down when you're ready you just gently please bring it down to the floor then you want to switch across the other foot across and start the other shine and this with all stretches you might find that one side is more flexible than the other side that's perfectly fine it

may feel a little different in one side you may feel you know I feel a little bit more the outside of a stretch can stretch where the outside of the hip on one leg or the inside on another line it's totally fine two sides your body two completely different personalities just be very compassionate each side and work with each one where it's at ok and then always paying attention to what the rest of

your body is doing don't press your stretch so much that you're like greeting into it it's not it's not good it's a healthy it's just actually going to cause you more attention and it's not what you're looking for so just be very comfortable ok you're done bring both feet to the ground this is a stretch that you can hold for quite a long time you want to hold it at least 30 seconds

at least to get any benefit out of it but you can easily hold the stretch for a minute two minutes three minutes the longer you hold the stretch for a benefit but again don't push it beyond what you're capable of doing just do what you're capable of for now and work out alright thanks very much
